Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop...our first for December...and tonight I'm featuring the Hello December 2016 Project Life Card Collection.

If you've visited here before you know that I love products that are versatile, that I love gift packaging and that I love to have packaging items at the ready!  And seriously...Project Life by Stampin' Up! products check every one of those boxes...and I get just what I need!  What's better than that...especially during a busy holiday season?  So...I grabbed a Card Collection, a couple of punches and embellishments...a bit of adhesive...and before long I had this...twelve at the ready projects just for the holidays.

I think that Project Life Card Collection 3x4 cards make the easiest tags and card fronts...EVER!  They're the perfect size for either.  And first...a bit of back story on the way I approach tag making.  My favorite celebrity chef is Ina Garten...aka the Barefoot Contessa.  I. LOVE. HER. SO. MUCH...I can't even describe how much...and how much I've learned from her.  One of the things she often says is that she likes to add something that shows what's in the dish she's presenting.  Like...her recipe for french toast includes orange she'll add an orange slice to the platter of french toast before she puts on the table.  I LOVE that...and I love to do the same with my these tags.

I know two little guys who are getting hunting vests for Christmas...and those gifts will be packaged with these tags.  It's a little extra touch that I love.  And then...I'll photograph those little dudes opening their gifts...and trying on their vests...and together those photos and these tags I'll have a completed Project Life album page!

Each year I stitch a host of tree ornaments as I'll package them in kraft gift bags...and these tags with a fun sneak peek to what's inside!

I think I have six ornaments to make this I'm good with the packaging.

And finally...I can use any of these card projects as note card fronts, too...including these...

like I've done here.

Thank you so much for hanging out with the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team this month!  If you're hopping in've just come from the amazing Steffi...and I know you'll want to visit my friend Susan, too.  She'll have something fabulous for you!

'Tis the Season - Saturday Catalog CASE

It's Saturday...and time for a Saturday Catalog CASE!  Today I chose to CASE these boxes on page 18 of the Holiday Catalog.

I loved the tone-on-tone look of the smaller box...and the Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy combination is straight from the catalog, too.  Pure magic!  The sentiment on the larger box is a straight CASE...and the DSP I've used is the reverse side of the box in the Catalog.  And finally...I added a bit of Kraft Cardstock and Burlap Ribbon to the projects, too!

Oh...and before I forget...the sentiment I've used is from the Christmas Pines Stamp Set...available at 25% off until November 30 as part of the Stitched from the Heart promotion!  Click below to see all the details and to shop with me!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Holiday Inspired!

Welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
Our theme for this hop is a Holiday Inspiration Photo Challenge...and here's the photo.

Seriously....SWOON!  There's not one thing in this photo that doesn't inspire me!  Plaids...and burlap...and pines...OH MY!  Now...that all being said...I have to admit that what I'm most drawn to is the chalkboard wrapping. Again...seriously?  And so...a chalkboard inspired project it is...

wood tags with chalkboard sentiments!

I can't share this, though, without a bit of back story.  My husband is one of those husbands that if he's not busy...he's bound to drive me crazy.  Ha!  When he's home...and I'm working...he's interrupting me about every 15 minutes. day...when I'd had enough...I flippantly said something like "why don't you get out your saw and cut up some small tree branches for me.  And...sand then up while you're at it."  About an hour later I had an entire box of nicely sanded, wooden tags!  So...I think I'll keep him...and keep him busy!

I'm sure he'll be happy to know that his sawing and sanding skills have been put to such good use with tags from Santa...

and tags for and making spirits bright!

And...he may just find something saying this is for you under the tree!

I hope you're finding just what you need for your own holiday crafting inspiration!  Thank you for hopping with us on Fancy Friday!  And now...I know you'll want to hop over to see my good friend Connie's Fancy project.  It's sure to be fabulous!
